I’m reading a lot about economic slowdowns, inflation, and banks failing. Yet, I’m here to tell you, the speaking industry is doing well. In fact, US hotels report they’re outperforming even their most optimistic projections. (US Hospitality Directions: May 2023). Check out these stats:
Things that may rear their ugly head and eat into some growth include increasing geopolitical tension, and the magnitude of change in our environments. We also know we can’t predict epidemics or transportation strikes. Trends Although the pace of in-person corporate meetings has picked up, be aware they are still using virtual presentations. They learned the value of virtual during covid. Associations are back to meeting in person. In fact, the demand for speakers will be high during the rest of 2023 and 2024. What they are slowing down on is offering live streams. The cost of putting on a great live-streaming event is great. Many are trying to encourage more people to attend in person.
