Speakers: Where the Money Is for the Rest of 2026

Corporate and association events are well-funded and optimistic heading into 2026, with many meeting professionals expecting higher budgets. Demand is strongest for speakers who tie ideas directly to performance, change, and culture, not generic motivation. Decision makers are hiring niche experts who understand their industry and can help teams act in the next 6–12 months.

·       Pitch to corporate, association, and large member‑based organizations with clear business outcomes.

·       Lead with your industry and problem niche, not a broad “motivational” or “inspirational” label.

·       Show how your program supports current priorities: risk, growth, transformation, change, or challenges.

Topics Booking Now

Across the meetings industry, the hottest topics right now include AI, the future of work, mental health, leadership in uncertainty, and geopolitics and the economy.

·       AI and productivity, future of work, and “human + AI” skills.

·       Mental health, burnout, sustainable high performance, digital overload.

·       Leadership, culture, inclusion (yes, DEI), and purpose‑driven business in challenging times.

How to Package Yourself

Meeting professionals want speakers who act like partners. They are buying outcomes, implementation support, and post-event impact, not just a one-hour talk.

·       Sell bundles: a keynote or program plus a Q&A, breakout, or follow-up virtual session rather than a single talk. Ask yourself: “How can I help my client apply what I shared?” Think what I call, “Aftercare”.

·       Include simple tools (checklists, frameworks, workbooks) that attendees can use back at work.

·       Offer pre‑event input: a short call to align on objectives and customize stories/examples. A good pre-program questionnaire goes a long way.

What to Change in Your Marketing This Quarter

Your positioning statement and outreach should reflect exactly what planners are searching for right now.

·      Rewrite your homepage and one‑sheet to highlight 1–2 hot topics you own (for example: “AI‑smart leadership,” “Burnout‑proof teams”).

·       Add a short “For Meeting Professionals” section that spells out outcomes, fit, and typical formats.

·       Seed 2–3 fresh pieces of content (article, short video, or LinkedIn post) on your main 2026 topic.

·       Use AI tools behind the scenes to speed research, customize pitches, and tailor examples to each industry segment.
